We are located on six pristine acres with lovely oak trees 1 mile west of I-75 and 4 miles east of Charlotte Harbor on Harborview Road. The Peace River runs parallel to Harborview Road and flows into Charlotte Harbor.
Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte is located in the mid S.W. coast of Florida. The two communities are divided by Charlotte Harbor which is fed by the Peace River and empties into the Gulf of Mexico. The area offers clean air, sunshine, fishing, wildlife, golfing, boating, swimming, etc., in a peaceful , relaxed atmosphere. The climate is sub-tropical making it possible to enjoy the outdoors year round.
If you travel 4 miles west to Tamiami Trail, you will find yourself in the middle between North Port Charlotte and South Punta Gorda. North Port Charlotte has the Town Center Mall, a Super Wall Mart, Books A Million, Staples, Large Cinema, plenty of restaurants, both fast food and elequant dining, plus more. To the South you have Punta Gorda with Fisherman's Village with many quaint shops and fishing and boat excursions.
There are many parks offering barbeque grills, tennis courts, basketball hoops, shuffle board courts and children's playgrounds. Harbour Heights park is just two miles east our location. There is also a lovely park/beach combination at the Port Charlotte Beach on the shore of Charlotte Harbor. There are other lovely beaches just 1 hour north or south, such as Englewood Beach, Siesta Key and Ft. Myers Beach.
For the baseball fans, Port Charlotte is the winter home of the Texas Rangers.
The Port Charlotte Cultural Center is about 8 miles from us where there are many activities. They have a lot of class offerings, i.e., dance, computer, arts, exercise, etc. They also offer a cafeteria, plays, bingo, and dancing.
In Punta Gorda, the auditorium, in the winter months, frequenlty has shows by famous personalities and dances.
We have two bowling alleys, one in Port Charlotte and one in Murdock.
Theme parks and other sightseeing are in abundance an equal distance to the south and north, with Disneyland approximately 3 1/2 hours to the north and Miami approximately 4 hours to the south.
